A letter to a hidden diamond
For the one who forgets how precious they are
Dear Diamond,
I know sometimes you wonder if you are truly welcome.
If you are seen in your rawness,
and loved for who you are.
Let me tell you this:
You are loved,
especially for who you are.
Perhaps the people close to you don’t show that,
perhaps they don’t see you clearly,
or they simply can’t find the right words.
That is their shortcoming,
and it might be their loss…
Don’t take it personally that they can’t see it.
In a world filled with so many people, you must know, there are people out there who are looking for exactly your uniqueness.
For your kindness.
Your honesty.
Just because you don’t have external proof of your value in this moment,
doesn’t mean you aren’t valuable.
It simply means, you get to find that worthiness within yourself first.
Then the right people will see you,
because you dare to shine.
If you see no proof of your value,
that is not a fact.
It is only a reflection of your
own inner critic, and the environment around you.
There is someone out there,
waiting for you.
Right now.
Waiting for you to realize who you are.
And to realize you deserve love just like anyone else.
But for now,
I’m here to remind you to stop looking outward.
To look within instead,
and discover your own beauty first.
Truly look,
and you will find a diamond.
Radiating love, ready to shine so much brighter.
You are precious.
And anyone with an open heart and a clear view,
will see that.
